Russia is the largest country in the world with the total area of 17,075,400 square
kilometers (over 6.5 million square miles), that is about 1.8 times the size of
the United States. Russia occupies most of Eastern Europe and Northern Asia, stretching
from the Baltic Sea in the west to the Pacific Ocean in the east, and from the
Arctic Ocean in the north to the Black Sea and the Caucasus in the south.
