World Cancer Day 2021: Cromos Pharma is committed to supporting clinical research to make cancer breakthroughs
Each 4th February, #WorldCancerDay aims to raise awareness of the global personal, social and economic burden of cancer.
It promotes better understanding of cancer and highlights risk factors and ways in which we can all reduce our chances of certain cancers. It advocates for continued clinical research into cancers and effective therapies and treatments.
Global Cancer Stats:
- In 2020, 19.3 million new cases of cancer were diagnosed worldwide
- Cancer is the second leading cause of death accounting for almost 10 million deaths in 2020.
- Breast and lung cancers are the most common making up 11.7% and 11.4% of all new case diagnosed in 2020.
